In Need of a Producer/Editor

37 episodes deep. Authors, movie directors, life coaches, cancer survivors, producers, musicians, singers, photographers, gangster rappers, Ayahuasca shamans — every guest on this show is creative, real, purpose driven, and in pursuit of something. The kind of people most podcasts never get to and most audiences are starving for.

• I started this in 2018 and have more content than 95% of people on the internet (barely clipped any of it due to bandwidth).

After a hiatus I'm restructuring (AI didn’t even exist yet when the show went on hiatus)— sponsorships coming in, new format, shorter public episodes with long-format behind a paywall. Two drops a week.

I am fully bought in. In 2017 I walked away from a quarter million dollars a year in corporate America. I have slaved at this for 8 years (while building a career in film) and I am more certain than ever that this is my career, this year we make it professional. I am not looking for someone to play around with. I am looking for someone equally serious to grow with.

Who you are: You don't need to know everything — I have a workflow I can show you. But you are naturally gifted at this type of work and you know it. You are constantly curious about how to make things better. You get off on being able to catch on and do this work faster than others, you’re probably more introverted and enjoy editing processes. You already know yourself well enough to know a normal career would never fulfill you. The idea of building a life around this kind of work doesn't just sound good — it sounds like exactly what you were made for.

Responsibilities

• Video and audio editing of weekly episodes
• Managing post-production workflow start to finish
• Cutting shorter public episodes from long-format recordings
• Basic sound enhancement and color/exposure consistency
• Organizing and maintaining episode assets and files
• Helping grow and improve the workflow over time
• Transfer episodes to Youtube AND (this is new) need to have the ability to get the video onto Spotify

Starting at $500/month growing as the show grows. My goal is to eventually pull you out of whatever you're doing and pay you a premium to be the full-time producer of something worth building.

What I bring to the table beyond the show: I also produce, AD, production design, and art direct feature films, shorts, commercials, and photoshoots — if overlap opportunities arise I will bring you along. I have done sales at a very high level for over a decade and I coach. If the $500 starting point is a barrier and you are the right person, let's talk — I am open to trading services and working something out. Tell me what you need or where you’ll need to be.

My goal for you will be to double and triple etc your pay as fast as possible, I just know right now where my time needs to be spent, and although I can/know how, my heart isn’t in this tedious part of the process. My time needs to be spent talking and maintaining the relationships and scaling the other parts of the business. I have great reach and have built and maintained relationships far and wide from years, you’ll get a chance to meet some really amazing people and hopefully will still be there when we make this into a show show (not just podcast) in the future.
